Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Services Case Manager to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The role will be based in the Blacktown and Penrith Local Government Areas and is focused on providing early intervention support to children, families, and communities at risk of vulnerability.
  • Deliver case management and advocacy services aligned with program and contract obligations for families.
  • Provide practical assistance to families, helping them meet their goals and connect with external services such as DCJ, medical practitioners, Centrelink, and the Department of Housing.
  • Assist in facilitating group programs and activities.
  • Ensure accurate, timely case notes, reports, and documentation are maintained.
  • Attend team meetings, participate in monthly supervision, and engage in relevant training opportunities.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in working with vulnerable families, children, and young people at risk.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and Child Safe Standards.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Contract until December 2025
Essential Requirements:
  • Valid Work Rights, National Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check
  • Driver's license and ability to travel for client purposes and/or training.
