This is not a clinic-based role. It is dynamic, mobile, and highly collaborative—working across homes, schools, and community settings to engage young people early and provide meaningful, recovery-oriented support.
The opportunity
You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering assertive, outreach-based mental health care. The focus is on early identification, timely intervention, and reducing the long-term impact of psychosis through evidence-based, person-centred practice.

What the role looks like
- Providing community-based mental health support to young people and their families
- Completing comprehensive clinical assessments, including biopsychosocial and risk assessments
- Delivering short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Managing a caseload from intake through to treatment and transition
- Working closely within a multidisciplinary team to inform care planning and outcomes
- Engaging young people through assertive outreach and flexible service delivery
- Participating in a rotating roster, including some evenings/weekends and occasional on-call
What you will bring
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing
- Eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body
- Experience working in community or acute mental health settings
- Strong assessment skills and confidence in brief interventions
- An understanding of youth development and early intervention frameworks
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- A current driver’s licence (this is a mobile, outreach-based role)
- Work within a highly regarded early psychosis model, focused on reducing long-term impact through early intervention
