Hands-on Maintenance Officer role supporting community housing properties across Wagga Wagga & Riverina. Vehicle, RDO and salary packaging provided.
- Practical, hands-on role - not just contractor coordination
- 35-hour week + monthly RDO + tool of trade vehicle
- Make a genuine impact supporting safe, well-maintained homes and communities
Argyle Housing is a community-managed, not-for-profit housing provider committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and affordable homes across regional NSW and the ACT.

We are currently seeking a practical, reliable, and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Wagga Wagga & Riverina team.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys being out on the road, solving problems, working with their hands and taking pride in maintaining homes and communities to a high standard.
Importantly, this is not just a desk-based coordination role.
While contractor management and maintenance scheduling form part of the position, you will also undertake minor maintenance works yourself and play an active role in maintaining the presentation, safety, and functionality of residential properties across the portfolio. Exceptional communication skills are key to working with internal and external stakeholders.

- Monthly RDO
- Tool of trade vehicle provided
- $300 annual wellbeing allowance
- Stable and purpose-driven organisation with strong regional presence
- Supportive and collaborative team environment
- Diverse, autonomous role with variety and flexibility
- Opportunity to make a genuine impact within community housing
The role combines hands-on maintenance work, property inspections, contractor coordination, and responsive repairs to ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained for tenants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking minor and non-urgent maintenance works across residential properties
- Carrying out routine property inspections and identifying maintenance or safety issues
- Coordinating responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
- Assisting with vacant property upgrades and property turnaround works
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring contractor performance, work quality, and WHS compliance
- Supporting safe, functional, and well-presented homes for tenants
- Maintaining accurate records and updating maintenance systems
- Working collaboratively with tenancy and support teams across the region
We are looking for someone practical, organised, and solutions-focused who enjoys a role with autonomy, variety, and purpose, and is comfortable working out in the community and across a wide portfolio.
